Pet Supplies Plus Lafayette

Inquired via phone about a ferret and the worker was very rude. I still gave this place a chance and went to inquire in person. The worker was absolutely rude, gave me dirty looks, and got snobby. I walked out. The ferret looked sick and very depressed. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely needs some animal welfare check done. They can say all they want the animals are happy and well taken care of but my experience disproves that.

Banner outside says "WE PRICE MATCH-online /local retail" Got to the register with my phone pulled up to Walmarts every day price of Churu cat treats of $2.48 versus PET SUPPLY PLUS price of $4.98 tried to price match & there are SEVERAL "stipulations /policies/requirements" that have to be met !!! (all undisclosed on their signage) another words.. work arounds , loops holes to NOT price match.. 1. "Oh - it has to be in your cart" 2. "Oh - it has to be all the same flavor" same churu cat treat , same price BUT..... 3. "Oh - that;s the online price " ????? It comes across as NIT PICKING and petty... After all that I was frustrated and said "I'll just go to PETSMART WHERE THEY ARE HASSLE FREE to price match" The cashiers responds was ... not to call a manager , No but 'YOU CAN LEAVE NOW AND GO TO PETSMART" WOW....

Don’t go here. Manager got fired. Adopted a cat for them to turn around and not know he’s been adopted for the last month. They told me they don’t have the shelters number but I called and they did the whole time. Bunch of children that work the store that have no clue what’s going on. They refused to give me any definite answer as to how this all happened but that they “messed up”….. as if working at a pet supply plus is a job for a rocket scientist.

I am consistently impressed by the friendly staff and great value. The team does a fantastic job of keeping the store clean and inviting. Their later hours ends up being incredibly convenient especially if I end up getting off work later in the evening!

Will never bring my dog back here for grooming. This was my third time. First time Sam (Samantha) the groomer, cut so close to my puppy’s skin that he was severely irritated and was scooting and itching the next whole week and it required a vet visit where the vet told me that the groomer did a poor shave where she cut so close to the skin to the point it irritated him. It cost money and a lot of restlessness for my dog (also had to put a cone on him to prevent itching) which was the worse heartbreak. After good 6 months I brought my puppy back with hopes maybe it would be better and clearly instructed her to not cut close to his skin because of what happened last time. This time she followed instructions and the cut went ok. This week was the third time was what’s making me even consider suing the establishment and seeking ground to get the groomer reevaluated. I went back told them CLEARLY DONT CUT CLOSE TO HIS SKIN. she started the grooming while casually mentioning dull clippers which kind of threw me off but I assumed she’d have alternatives which would be better. Not only did she call me back in two hours saying she ‘needs to call it a day’ cause she can’t groom my puppy comp
